GS loves #8

Hello, hope you’re having a relaxing weekend.

This week has been a busy one as I have increased my hours at work, however I’ve still managed to fit in lots of lovely things in the evenings and weekends.

Last weekend I spent Saturday morning surrounded by towers of cake at a charity coffee morning. It was to raise money for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund which supports the Congenital Heart Unit in Leeds.

The afternoon was grey and rainy so we cosied up indoors, dreaming of spring with this White Company candle and cheerful vintage teacups.

On Sunday we met with friends in Osmotherly for a walk around Cod Beck reservoir followed by a roast at The Three Tuns.

During the week we had more cold but clear days and after finishing work on Tuesday I grabbed the dog and headed straight out to Swinsty Reservoir for a walk with a friend.

It was incredibly peaceful without the usual weekend crowds and after the 1 hour walk around the reservoir I enjoyed sitting in the pine woods with my flask of tea.

On Friday a friend and I visited Titanic Spa, where we treated ourselves to a day of relaxation with a facial and massage, a perfect start to the weekend!
