The black silicon carbide powder is black, brittle and sharp, and has good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity. The microscopic shape is hexagonal crystal, the Mohs hardness is 9.2, the Vickers microhardness is 3100--3400 kg/mm 2 , the Knoop hardness is 2670-2815 kg/mm, and the microhardness is 3300 kg per cubic mm. Compared with green silicon carbide powder, the purity, hardness and brittleness are slightly lower. Mainly used for processing metal and non-metal materials with low tensile strength, such as cast iron, brass, aluminum, rubber, etc. It can also be used for the fabrication of abrasive and coated abrasives, as well as solar wafers, semiconductor wafers, and chip-cutting.
