About Us

Greedy Sisters

We’re two sisters who love food, it’s that simple. From baking butterfly buns with our grandma to browsing fascinating French markets with our parents, many of our fondest memories involve sharing a smug smile of approval between mouthfuls of whichever delight we happened to be sampling at the time.

It was one of these knowing glances (which occurred as we polished off a delicious 5-course meal to celebrate Mother’s Day) that prompted us to create Greedy Sisters. We also write about lifestyle and travel, as we’re greedy to fill our minds as well as tummies. We hope Greedy Sisters will appeal to those who are equally captivated by food, and perhaps even inspire you to try an ingredient, recipe or restaurant that evokes that same comforting sense of glee.

  1. What a pleasure to share in the delicious delights lovingly prepared by the ‘greedy sisters’ as part of a family weekend – would like the recipe for the pea and spinach soup please!

    1. We’ll send you the exact recipe, but here’s the basics from memory: Gently fry 1 diced potato and onion in butter until softened, then add 150 ml white wine and bubble away until it’s reduced by half. Pour in 1 litre of veg stock and add a small bag of frozen peas (can be petit pois) and around 150g spinach. Simmer for about 30 mins then stir in a handful of chopped mint and blitz until smooth.
